Friday Night Live/Club Live (FNL/CL) is a multi-cultural peer program designed to engage young people in limiting youth access to alcohol, and educating their peers on the consequences of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among middle school and high school students. FNL/CL promotes healthy lifestyle choices in our community and develops and strengthens leadership skills for positive community change. Through games and activities youth will assess community need and develop a project to address their concerns. Se Habla Español

Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) are three nights per week for eight weeks with family groups bimonthly and individual counseling bimonthly. Private insurance accepted, wheelchair accessible, no bilingual or hearing impaired services. Residential treatment center with medically supervised detox services. Capacity: 53 adult and 17 adolescent beds. Flexible lengths of stay, maximum 30 days for inpatient care. Intensive outpatient services also available. Per diem rates for all levels of care. At SHOP, we believe you can enjoy a fun and social college experience without putting yourself or others at risk. That includes partying safely, drinking without binging or blacking out, and experimenting without risking a synergistic overdose, which happens when two or more substances combine to create a stronger, more dangerous effect than either alone. SHOP offers free harm reduction supplies like Narcan and fentanyl test strips, workshops and events led by Party Safe Peer Educators, and free one-on-one wellness coaching around alcohol and other substances.

The Cove is an inclusive space for UCSC students in recovery from alcohol and/or other drugs, as well as anyone interested in, supporting, or curious about a substance-free lifestyle. Our programs include ongoing meetings like Al-Anon, Marijuana Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous. The Cove's student Peer Recovery Coaches support students one-on-one, as well as through fun events like group hikes, sober surfing, and alternative 4/20 events.

Outpatient Counseling services for youth (ages 12-18) with drug and alcohol abuse problems. Individual, group, and family counseling. Sliding fee scale. Bilingual services available. Disabled Accessibility: Wheelchair, Parking. Medi-Cal accepted.

The TYC program provides Santa Cruz City Schools with an avenue to support youth wellbeing, connect to school and community, and to reduce disciplinary incidents. Through a trauma-informed culturally and developmentally responsive model the program will support our student’s academic, social and emotional wellness. Eligibility Youth must attend a school within the Santa Cruz City Schools (SCCS) District. Referrals can be made through parent/guardian, peers, probation/law enforcement, or school administration. Youth self-referrals are also encouraged.
